Brooke E. Smith
Brooke holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. magna cum laude in Speech
Communications from the University of Missouri. After clerking for the Honorable
John R. Blinn, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Texas, she practiced
law for over 20 years in the Texas federal and state courts, eventually becoming
a shareholder at Leonard Hurt Terry & Blinn, P.C.
She began LegalPro Editors after spending three years as "LegalPro," the top-ranked attorney editor at EditAvenue.com where she achieved an average 5-star (out of 5 stars) customer satisfaction rating on over 15,000 pages of edited documents.
Since then, in conjunction with her nonlegal editing work, she’s edited an additional
10,000 pages and is quickly approaching her 50th book. She is a member of the Editorial
Freelancers Association, the only professional organization for freelance developmental
and copy editors.
In her own writing, she was principal author of Bankruptcy Strategies for Lenders
(2nd Edition) published by John Wiley, and has sold a number of mystery/suspense
and sci-fi/fantasy short stories.
